The “Bachelor of Engineering in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering” degree at Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin is with a length of 7 semesters. The program is divided into a basic phase and an advanced phase with two specialization areas for students to choose from: Fire Protection or Security Technology. The curriculum includes Technical Mathematics, Basics of Chemistry, Physics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Basics of Electrical Engineering and many other essential subjects. In addition, students who have decided to specialize in Fire Protection complete their fire brigade training at the Berlin Fire Brigade and Rescue Service Academy during the lecture-free period. Admissions are restricted and applicants are required to have a university entrance qualification, and an appointment as a candidate for fire chief in the Berlin fire brigade for the specialization in Fire Protection. Graduates are well-prepared to work in these challenging fields.
