In the "Master of Science in Ophthalmic Optics/Optometry" program at Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, the field of optometric services is expanded and deepened through corresponding modules. For example, methods of visual training and basics for the examination of neurologically caused disorders of the eye and the visual pathway are taught. All practical study units take place in first-class equipped laboratories for spectacle fitting and magnifying vision aids, contact lenses and optometry. Graduates have in principle very good prospects of finding a job after successfully completing their studies, as the employment rate for opticians with a degree from a university of applied sciences has been around 98 percent for years.
