The “Bachelor of Science in Ophthalmic Optics/Optometry” program at Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin aims to give students thorough understanding and practical skills in the field. Over the course of 7 semesters, Anatomy and Physiology, Contact Lens Fitting Basics, Pathology, Immunology and Pharmacology, Ophthalmoscopy and Retinoscopy and many other essential subjects are taught. Restrictions for the program are restricted and candidates are required to present a university entrance qualification. Having gained competence in the field, graduates are able to pursue careers in ophthalmic shops, in eye clinics, in ophthalmological practices, vocational training, research and more.
