The “Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (KIA)” degree offered by Bochum University of Applied Sciences is with a standard duration of nine semesters. Practice-oriented, the course moves on to a full- time phase after the first two years of practical training. The program prepares students for taking up a consecutive Master program. Moreover, it serves them to gain practical experience and get to know potential future employers. Upon graduation, students are prepared to pursue professional activities in areas such as software production, mechatronics, industrial engineering, business informatics and many others. Admissions are restricted and applicants are required to present a higher education entrance qualification and the conclusion of a training contract.
