The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies” provided by Braunschweig University of Art is a combined program with the Technical University of Braunschweig. The goal is to connect the scientific knowledge of a technical university and the creativity of an art university together. The courses in both universities are in German and in full-time form. Students attend six semesters which are structured to expand their knowledge on the basics of media cultural studies, communication, media technology, business administration, art studies and more. Graduates will have possible career paths in wide variety of positions in Media like TV, newspapers, Social media, advertising, entertainment or communication positions in different business. The Bachelor's degree opens the door to a subsequent Master's degree programs. The subjects in this course are Propaedeutics, Media Theory and History, Media Analysis, Theories and Models as well as Methods of Communication and Media Studies, Mathematics for Media Studies, Electrotechnical Fundamentals of Computer Engineering, Programming, Fundamentals of Information Technology and more.
