Leisure, or free time, is the time spent between professional and personal responsibilities, doing activities that you enjoy, such as sports, art, relaxation and going on holiday. Leisure Management involves the organization of leisure activities and outlets like recreational facilities, tourist destinations, sports centers, hotels, art galleries, museums and tourist attractions. Students have the opportunity to study subjects like Sports Management, Art and Culture Management, Accounting, Micro- and Macroeconomics, Environmental Sustainability, Ethics in Business, Principles of Management and Leadership, Psychology of Leisure Consumption, Sales and Marketing, and current topics like Globalization of Sport and Leisure. During the program they develop excellent verbal and written communication skills, entrepreneurial skills, creative thinking and the ability to work both independently and in teams. Students are provided with both academic knowledge and professional skills which are highly valued by employers.
