Description
The Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the Adaptation course ApaLe, which is an international adaptation period for social work, childhood and special needs education. This training course enables social professionals to meet the requirements for a state recognition to regulated professions. In order to participate in the training course, people need to speak German on a language level of B2 or C1, as well as a valid decision from the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family, or a foreign degree in social work, curative education and childhood education. Thus, the ApaLe course facilitates integration into the labour market and with this certificate, students with foreign degrees in social professions could receive the state recognition they need, in order to have the same rights in working life as people with degrees in these regulated professions in Germany. The duration of this course is 6 to 10 months.
