The Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the three-semester full time Master's degree “Master of Arts in Preventive Social Work” that expands the students’ already existing socio-professional knowledge and methodological repertoire in the direction of preventive social work. This course is built on well-founded socio-diagnostic knowledge and allows an exemplary deepening either in the field of health prevention or crime and violence prevention. Thus, this program takes place in close exchange with practical institutions and emphasizes the cross-sectional competencies of social space orientation, practical research and social management. The entry requirements include first professional university degree in social work, curative education, childhood education or another relevant university degree.
