The Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the seven-semesters Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education. The main purpose of this course is to provide the students with a competence-oriented study program that qualifies them for the current interpretation and didactic communication of religion in a pluralistic society. Thus, it helps the participants to develop theological and sociological knowledge and prepare themselves for professional work in schools and pastoral areas, as well as in educational institutions or social work agencies by acquiring religious pedagogical skills. The entry requirements include any certificate for knowledge of the German language (for foreign students), general higher education entrance qualification or technical college qualification, recognized in the individual cases by the Berlin Senate, or a general right of access.
