Description
The Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the application-oriented Master’s degree “Master of Arts in Social Work” that enables the students to deal in-depth with the current practical and theoretical discourses of human rights and lifeworld-oriented social work. This program is divided into 5 semesters, where the first four semesters are theory, and the fifth one is a preparation of the master's thesis without any attendance during that time. The main purpose of this course it to sharpen the students’ socio-professional view of increasingly complex processes of social change, provide them with analytical skills with regard to the effects on particularly vulnerable population, as well as to expand their professional intervention options. The entry requirements for this course include a successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree at the KHSB or another university, experience in social work, curative education, social sciences, education, psychology or other relevant fields of study, as well as proficiency in the English language.
