Description
The “Master of Science in Addiction Prevention and Treatment” is provided by the Catholic University of Applied Sciences at the Cologne Campus. The main purpose of this postgraduate course is to expand the academic knowledge of the students, in connection with addiction prevention and treatment, including theory and models. This program is also certified by the German Pension Insurance Association. Furthermore, the students will get familiar with the areas of human behaviour, behavioural therapy, cognitive therapy, systematic researches, homeless care, social work, social education, psychology, medicine, etc. Both lectures and practical trainings are provided to the students in order to develop their professional experience. The future graduates will be well-prepared to work across health management, social departments, homeless care, medical centres, education, psychological departments and many others. The entry requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in any similar field.
