“Bachelor of Science in Midwifery’’ is offered at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences North Rhine-Westphalia. This course is with a duration of four semesters with study groups of maximum 30 people. The main objective of the program is to train midwives and maternity nurses in this valuable profession. Midwifery Science modules help students to understand the fundamental principles of midwifery and to develop a process-based thinking. In addition to theory, participants will also develop important skills that will help them deal with complex situations that might occur in their professional experience. Students can also choose between three elective modules: Pedagogy, Leadership, and Clinical Science.
