The “Bachelor of Arts in Practical Theology’’ is a six-semester degree program offered at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences. The course of study is designed for prospective students who are interested in practicing the pastoral profession. Here, participants will explore different theological disciplines, such as geomatics, moral theology and liturgical studies. Furthermore, the curriculum is also comprised of modules that cover human sciences like sociology, psychology, and others. In addition to the theoretical knowledge that students will acquire, the program also features a strong practical component with three internships. Graduates can continue with a Master’s degree or work as parish ministers in different fields like pastoral care units, parishes or schools.
