The teacher training program “Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies 50%“ is a 6-semester program offered at the Center of Jewish Studies. The curriculum is similar to the traditional BA in Jewish Studies 50% -  History of the Jewish People, Jewish Philosophy, Art and Literature, etc. The difference is that participants receive sound theoretical and practical training in School Pedagogy, Education Psychology, Educational Science, and more. Through an application-oriented internship, students acquire social, methodological, and vocational skills that will prepare them for the real-life working environment. Furthermore, the BA promotes the development of soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication and organisation, all of which are needed to become a successful teacher and work with large groups of people. Graduates can begin working as Jewish religion teachers right away or pursue a consecutive Master’s degree.
