The consecutive degree program “Master of Arts in Intercultural Communication/ Intercultural Competence” is offered by Chemnitz University of Technology. It has a standard length of 4 semesters, and is taught in German. During the course of study, Intercultural Communication and Competence, Reading of Classical and Modern Literature on the area of social and cultural sciences, Language, Media & Literature and Region & Communication are covered. A proof of English language proficiency at level B2 according to CEFR, proficiency in another foreign language on the level of secondary school leaving certificate qualifying for university entrance is required as well as a proof of a stay abroad lasting three months at least for purposes of work or studies is a prerequisite.
