Industrial Design is an area that encompasses a lot of disciplines – from planning and designing products to meeting aesthetic, social, cultural and ergonomic demands of users. The “Industrial Design” diploma program at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences aims to convey qualifications and competencies for these fields of activity. Over the course of 8 semesters, students are taught Design, Ergonomics, History and Theory, Social Psychology, Product Semantics, Geometry and more. The program is not restricted in admission, but proof of artistic talent must be provided through a corresponding aptitude test. Graduates can benefit from various career opportunities in interface design, consumer goods, communication products and more.
