The “Bachelor of Engineering in Interior Design” program at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences combines artistic expression with theoretical knowledge. Over the course of 6 semesters, students are taught subjects like Spatial Theory, Building History, Architectural Theory, Construction and more. The Bachelor’s degree in “Interior Design” has restricted admissions and also requires a completed internship upon entry. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to work in a number of fields – from interior construction and renovation of offices, residential buildings, practices, shops and hotels to product development for furniture or lighting fixtures.
