One of the leading topics in society today is intercultural migration due to globalization and an ever-changing social climate. The aim of the “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work Plus - Migration and Globalization” program at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is to give students in-depth competence and applicable intercultural skills that prepare them for work with migrants and refugees. In the first two years of study, theoretical and methodological knowledge as well as social and communication skills are imparted, partly in English-language lectures. Students are then given the opportunity to complete an internship and go abroad for a practical semester. The program has restricted admissions.
