Automobile companies, hospitals, oil pipelines, governments, they have all been victims of cyber attacks. In the future, even more digital systems and networks will emerge to attract cybercriminals. For example, efforts towards autonomous driving, Industry 4.0 or the Internet of Things. On the other hand, employees who know how to successfully defend against cyberattacks are still in demand. According to a survey by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education, there will be an estimated shortage of 1.8 million employees in the cyber security industry by 2022. If you would like to land one of these jobs, you will find the right training with the Cyber Security computer science degree programme at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. During your studies, you will learn how to make the digital world more secure. 

Admission requirements:

• General German university entrance qualification, or please check your eligibilty at the DAAD if you own an international qualification

Prerequisites: Sufficient knowledge of basic scientific subjects (especially mathematics) is necessary
