Intelligent devices revolutionisse all areas of life. Software and algorithms are the main drivers of innovation and growth worldwide. Many only see the tip of the iceberg, the apps on the smartphone or the software on the PC. Today, software drives almost every device, from toasters, microwave ovens and dishwashers to e-bikes and cars, from all production facilities and machines to intelligent roads, intelligent cities, infrastructures and smart grids.

As a mechatronics engineer, you hold the reins. You work as a system engineer and architect at the interfaces between software, electronics and mechanics. In the Internet of Things, it is not computer science alone that counts, but rather the interaction of software with actuators such as drives and sensors for physical quantities as well as mechanics. In this course you will acquire all the basics in mechanical design, electronics and embedded software in order to design, develop and implement these innovations. The demand for this competence in the market is immense and is growing much faster than it can be met.

• General German university entrance qualification, or please check your eligibilty at the DAAD if you own an international qualification
• Language requirements

Previous knowledge:

• Knowledge of basic scientific subjects and mathematics is required.
