The focus of the doctoral program “EDME – Mechanics” offered at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne falls on the nonlinear mechanics, geo- and bio- materials, and fluid flows. In addition, students are offered four main areas of research, namely Biomechanics, Geomechanics, Fluid Mechanics, and Solid Mechanics. The program also covers all relevant themes to the science of Mechanics. These feature Nano- and Micro- Mechanics, Energy Harvesting, Composites, and more.
