The Master program “Master of Arts in Play and Object” offered by Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts provides teaching and observation with current theatrical activities at the intersection of representation, object, digital media, and social systems. It blends high- quality theatrical experience teaching with current social and technical discursive practices. The degree program addresses the need to explore new directions in the aesthetic activity of theatrical storytelling, to create opportunities for experimentation and to gain solid technical and craft knowledge regarding theater processes. Students are taught about the technical fundamentals in media design from the perspective of theatrical processes and creative production work, in collaboration with students in contemporary puppetry, directing and etc.
