Evangelische Hochschule Tabor, founded in 2009, is a state-approved private university seated in Marburg, Hesse. It is sponsored by the Tabor Study and Life Group Foundation. Round about 100 students are currently trained as a church pastor, social worker, social education worker, or youth worker. The University offers study opportunities at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The scope of Bachelor studies includes the three eight-semester degree programs “Protestant Theology“ (B.A.), “Practical Theology and Social Work“ (B.A.), as well as “Theology, Social Space and Innovation“ (B.A.). Offered at Master’s level are the degree programs “Religion and Psychotherapy“ (M.A., extra-occupational), “Protestant Theology“ (M.A., consecutive, full-time/extra-occupational), and “Protestant Congregational Practice“ (M.A., extra-occupational).
