The Bachelor program “Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with Orientation Semester (ETOS)’’ offered by FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences is a seven semesters degree program. The curriculum includes an orientation semester that provides students with an orientation of FH Aachen University and RWTH Aachen. In addition, this semester provides preparation for students for the upcoming courses. The aim of this study program is to provide in-depth knowledge in mathematics, physics, electronics, electrical engineering, and computer science. In the fifth and sixth semesters students are allowed to choose a specialization field from elective courses and concentrate on automation, electrical vehicle systems, decentralized supply, and information and communication technology. Graduates from this program are admitted to the Master’s program or can directly pursue a career in mechanical engineering, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, automotive, and vehicle construction.
