The degree program “Bachelor in Mechatronics’’ is a full- and part-time course with a duration of respectively seven and eleven semesters offered at the FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. The study program focuses on the practical side and aims to teach students the required skills to build mechatronic systems. The curriculum entails courses that give basic knowledge about mechanical and electrical engineering and in-depth skills about mechatronic elements, sensors, actuators, and information technology. The program includes group projects that aim to bring out the project skills and communication techniques in each student. During the last semester, students need to complete a practical project and a bachelor thesis. Mechatronics is a new technological innovation that gives many opportunities to graduates of this program to pursue a career path.
