Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences' dual "Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology" curriculum combines university studies with work experience. The theoretical-technical elements of the general and dual study variants are identical – but the dual study variation has the advantage that students can apply what they learned at university in actual work in the partner company during the semester breaks, gaining practical experience. This intimate connection between theory and practice results in a dual qualification. A general higher education entrance qualification or a technical college entrance qualification, as well as a study contract with a cooperation partner, are all required for admission.
