Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences' dual "Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Science" program combines university and practical learning sites, and hence theory and practice. To develop their professional practice, students are guided in linking the learning content with their prior experiences. The course's goal is to help students strengthen their professional abilities as midwives so that they can accompany difficult situations or processes in their subsequent professional practice and design them in a person-centered way. This requires linking midwifery ideas with obstetric practice throughout the course. A higher education entry qualification, as well as a vocational training contract and extra agreement to the vocational training contract for the dual course, are required for admission.
