The “Master of Science in Foundry Technology” is a 3-semester program taught in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at TU Freiberg. The course aims to intensify the knowledge of students and familiarise them with complex matters. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Fracture Mechanics, Microstructure Analytics, Non-destructive Casting Testing, Molding Process, Foundry Process Design, High-temperature Materials, and more. Additionally, participants can undertake elective modules and align their education with their interests. The MSc is practice-oriented and provides students with hands-on experience and professional core competencies. Graduates are qualified for managerial positions in the Foundry industry, Automotive industry, Mechanical Engineering, Supplier industry, and more.
