The “Master of Science in Earth Sciences” is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It is designed for applicants with a Bachelor in Geology or Mineralogy. The MSc aims to deepen the knowledge of students and provide them with practical relevance. From the beginning of the program, participants must choose one of 6 fields of study to specialise in - Sedimentology/Volcanology, Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, Deposits, Mineralogy, Paleontology/Stratigraphy, and Tectonics/Geochronology. The program is application-oriented and provides students with key methodological, social, and technical skills and teaches them how to implement them in practice. Additionally, participants will acquire professional core competencies needed for day-to-day operations. Upon completion of the program, graduates can find employment in Industrial and Consulting companies, Sustainable Extraction of Raw Materials, Quality Control of Natural Minerals and Materials in production, Material and Material Development, and Research and Development.
