The Geisenheim University, founded in 2013, is a public university seated in Geisenheim, Hesse with round about 1,350 students. The University’s educational portfolio consists of a number of Bachelor and Master degree courses. The scope of Bachelor degree studies includes the study courses “Horticulture“ (B.Sc.), “Beverage Technology“ (B.Sc.), “International Wine Business“ (B.Sc.), “International Wine Business“ (B.Sc., taught in English), “Landscape Architecture“ (B.Eng.), “Food Safety“ (B.Sc.), “Logistics and Management Fish Products“ (B.Sc.), as well as “Viticulture and Enology“ (B.Sc.). At Master’s level, prospective students are provided with the study courses “Horticultural Science“ (M.Sc.), “Beverage Technology“ (M.Sc.), “Landscape Architecture“ (M.Sc.), “Enology“ (M.Sc.), “Environmental Management and Urban Planning“ (M.Eng, in partnership with the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences), “Vinifera Euromaster“ (M.Sc., in partnership with various other European institutions of higher education), “Vitis Vinum (M.Sc., English-taught bilateral study program with university consortia in Italy and with the University for Natural Resources and Life Sciences), “Enology, Wine Business and Beverage Technology“ (M.Sc.), as well as “Wine Business“ (M.Sc.). The study courses “Landscape Architecture“ “Viticulture and Eenology“, and “Beverage Technology“ are offered as dual study courses as well. The study course “Viticulture and Enology“ is also offered as a German-Italian Bachelor double degree program whereby students spend one year studying at an Italian university to obtain the Italian degree “Laurea in Viticoltura ed Enologia“ in addition to the Bachelor degree. In partnership with other universities, Geisenheim University carries out a cooperative doctoral program.
