The four-semester degree program “Master of Science in Enology” is offered by Geisenheim University. The course is targeting graduates of the fields of viticulture and oenology, wine management, beverage technology as well as agricultural and nutritional scientists who seek to qualify for management tasks in viticultural and oenological areas of operation. The study course includes content focused on biochemistry and biotechnology in plant production, viticulture and oenology, molecular phytopathology, biometrics and experimentation as methodological components as well as process technologies in oenology. During their study, the prospective students obtain comprehension in technology and microbiology in oenology as well as ecophysiology and special nutritional issues of wine.
