Description
With a duration of seven semesters the full-time degree program “Bachelor of Science in Horticulture” is offered by the Geisenheim University. The bachelor explores in-depth the topics of natural sciences, economics and technical foundations with all cultivation areas, efficiency of resources, organic cultivation and urban horticulture as well as breeding, marketing and sales of plants. During their study, the graduates combine theory and practice while the lecturers impart application-oriented horticultural content and the necessary key qualifications such as specialist foreign languages, time planning and project management. The program provides to the participants to study two out of three focus areas such as for instance focus on sustainable production provides extensive skills in the production and technology of horticultural products while the focus on trade, services and management includes modules such as marketing management, accounting and controlling, corporate and employee management.
