“Bachelor of Engineering in Landscape Architecture” is a degree course with a total duration of seven semesters degree course provided by the Geisenheim University. During their study, the participants deal with the development of open spaces in urban areas and explore the design, building construction, use of plants and dealing with social aspects as essential contents of the teaching. The focus of the bachelor degree primarily falls on the design of urban green spaces and stone-shaped open spaces such as pedestrian zones or town squares as well as private gardens. Participants acquire strong knowledge of the social, ecological and economic requirements for open spaces in urban and rural areas form the basis for the development of innovative ideas. “Bachelor of Engineering in Landscape Architecture” imparts knowledge and methods to plan measures for the protection and development of landscapes, biotopes and endangered animal and plant species while students also expand their creativity and conceptual thinking.
