Description
The six-semester, practice-oriented study course “Bachelor of Science in Viticulture and Enology” is provided by the Geisenheim University. During their study, the prospective students obtain fundamentals in the mathematical and scientific basis, sensor technology and the basics of viticulture. The students have the opportunity to attend subject-specific events in the fields of soil science, agricultural meteorology, general and ecological viticulture and viticulture technology while the degree program also covers process engineering, wine and sparkling wine making technology, wine chemistry and microbiology. Graduates deepen their knowledge of filling and packaging technology and the bachelor degree enables them to successfully solve problems using recognized scientific methods.
