The “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” is provided at the HAW Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. This course is a seven-semester, German-taught program. The main purpose of this undergraduate degree is to introduce the participants to the basics of social work. Furthermore, the students will deepen their knowledge and understanding in the fields of social security, social services, children support, family support, health care organisations, social integration, etc. The participants also get a chance to do a twenty-week industrial internship. The future graduates will be highly qualified to work within social departments, rehabilitation centres, health care organisations, educational events, charity organisations, and many others. The entry requirements include a general university entry qualification.
