The degree program “Master of Science in Energy Technology” at Hamburg University of Technology provides a full-time study course with a duration of four semesters. The main focus of discourse is on the economically and ecologically sensible provision of electricity, heating and cooling on the basis of conventional and regenerative energy systems. Throughout this course participants will gain in-depth knowledge and skills about the subject as well as practice. Some subjects covered by this program are civil engineering, energy efficient and sustainable building, energy technology, power plant engineering, electrical engineering, laser and fibre optic systems, mechanics in mathematical modelling for oil and gas industry and more. Towards the end of their study participants are qualified to work in sectors such as research, design and consulting services. Some examples of job titles are dynamics and loads engineer, technical specialists, product development manager, investment analyst, trade analyst, solar designer, safety consultant, technical support engineer and many more.
