The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering” at Hamburg University of Technology provides a full-time study course with a duration of six semesters. Mechanical engineering is involved in mostly all Industrially manufactured goods that we use every day, for example how to mobiles, electronic devices or tools. The study course aims at people that are interested in technologies and creating new products from basic developments. Throughout this course participants will learn about planning in calculation of systems, devices and machines, selection and development of materials, construction of mechanical devices and production planning. Some subjects included in this course are mathematics, basic physical sciences, statistics and dynamics, strength of materials and solid mechanics, materials engineering, composites and more. After successfully completing this study course graduates are qualified to work in fields such as product development and production, airplane system technology, energy technology, mechatronics and many more.
