The degree program “Master of Science in Medical Engineering” at Hamburg University of Technology provides a full-time study course with a duration of four semesters. It is taught in both German and English. This study course aims at people with bachelor’s degree in medical engineering or similar field and it provides in-depth knowledge and skill development in the mathematical – scientific, engineering and medical – technical fundamentals. Throughout this course participants will learn more about the engineering - specific, medical and business management aspects of patient care. Some subjects covered by this program are engineering mechanics, mathematics, physical chemistry, thermodynamics, engineering physics, material sciences and more. Towards the end of their study participants can choose from a wide variety of jobs such as materials developer, manufacturing engineer, independent consultant, medical scientist/researcher, rehabilitation engineer, medical technology developer, and many more.
