The degree program “Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering” at Hamburg University of Technology provides a full-time study course with a duration of four semesters. This study course aims of people with bachelor’s degree in shipbuilding, general engineering or a similar subject. Throughout their studies participants will focus on research and also, they will gain knowledge and skills for developing, designing, calculating and evaluating ship and marine engineering structures and their components. Some subject caused are basic thermodynamics, engineering mechanics, geometrical drawing, computer science, strength of materials, applied thermodynamics, mathematics, marine boilers, ship fire prevention and control and more. After successfully completing this course graduate will be qualified to work on the design of cruise ships, mega-yachts or submarines, they will be also able to work as technician or project manager, and many more.
