The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture” at Hamburg University of Technology provides a full-time study course with duration of six semesters. Throughout their studies participants will learn about the construction of ships, other floating vessels and shipyards and how to repair them. Some modules covered by this course are welding technology, engineering drawing/graphics, material science, ship design, shipbuilding, ship structure, piping and more. Graduates in Shipbuilding are often required by: shipyards, shipping companies, ports and harbours, shipbuilding for firms, oil and gas firms and many more.
