The study course “Master of Music – Viola” offered at Hanns Eisler College of Music takes four semesters in a full-time form. Students completing an orchestra internship or similar activities can apply for a part-time status. The direction of the course is to build upon the violin skills of graduates. After finishing the course, they can seek a career as professional viola players both individual and, in an orchestra, as well as viola teacher and others. The main subjects of the course are Viola, Correpetition, Orchestra playing and rehearsals. There are selectable subjects like Musicology and Musical Theory.
