HdBA, short for the University of Applied Labor Studies of the Federal Employment Agency, is a provider of several certificate courses, “Professional Consulting” being one of them. The aim of the course is the preparation of already qualified experts in specific skills and areas of expertise, which are proven to be of high demand, but large shortage and necessity, among labor consulting professionals. It can be done at either of the two campuses – Mannheim and Schwerin. Advisory services need to possess the scientific and theoretical knowledge standing behind their real-time decisions in the field of working life improvement and transitions. The course also ensures the uniformity of the specialist preparation, which is paramount for the effective work of the national services. One compulsory and two elective modules have to be done with a duration of one semester each.
