The four-semester study program “Master of Arts in Community Health Promotion” offered by Heidelberg University of Education put an emphasis on health planning in community spaces. Students will gain theoretical knowledge in human and socio-ecological topics, as well as will learn research methods in the field. Moreover, the program blends theory and practice. In the framework of two semester, students work on real-world transfer projects and are actively engaged in the Prevention and Health Promotion Department`s initiatives. A prerequisite for enrolment is a relevant university degree with at least duration of six semesters. Upon successful completion of the program graduates can work in social security agencies, the public health service, institutions for city and health planning, etc.
