The three-semester study program “Master of Science in Engineering Education” offered by Heidelberg University of Education is the subsequent choice after finishing the seven-semester Bachelor program in electrical engineering and information technology at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. The program is also opened for other students with prior education in a relevant discipline. During the course of study students will gain comprehensive knowledge in the fields of pedagogy, psychology and specialist didactics. They will also discuss the relationship between various types of teaching and learning, and other distinguishing aspects of vocation education. Moreover, participants will expand their electrical engineering and information technology expertise. Incorporated to the curriculum, there is also a practical semester. Graduates of the program are qualified to take on positions in higher teaching posts, concerning the areas “Electrical Energy and Automation Technology” and “System and Information Technology”.
