The four-semester study program “Master of Education Profile Line Teacher Training Secondary Level I” offered by Heidelberg University of Education has the purpose of providing students with the needed qualification, in order to be eligible to educate and train 9-17-year-old children. Students will gain useful knowledge abut the profession and will be able to interconnect it with the approaches of specialist didactics. Moreover, participants will be taught educational sciences, diagnostics, and counselling. All the acquired knowledge during the course of study can be productively connected and implemented from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. As a requirement for enrolment students need proof of finished bachelor`s degree with two subjects and teaching elements. The two subjects from the Bachelor`s degree are being further enhanced in the master. After completing the program, students can start preparatory service, which will later qualify them for teaching in the lower secondary level. Another option for the graduates is working in all-day school care, educational centres, etc.
