The seven-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Sign Language Interpreting” offered by Heidelberg University of Education provides students with the needed qualification, in order to be able to interpret and translate in situations where deaf and hearing people interact. Graduates of the program become usually freelance workers, but there is also an opportunity to work at universities or big companies, where language interpreters are needed.
