Description
The major course of study (50%) “Bachelor of Arts in Byzantine Archaeology and Art History” at Heidelberg University introduces students to an examination of research related to the material heritage of the Late Antique and Byzantine periods. The period of the training is six semesters and is in German but English conduct is possible. The program offers either the specialization of Antique building research and settlement archaeology or Visual culture. During the course, students receive an overview of the central monuments, findings and types of objects dating from the Late Antique and early Byzantine periods and have insights into Byzantine archaeology and art history. Graduates possess a large number of core competencies and can begin a master's degree.
