Description
The “Bachelor of Arts in Classical Archaeology” program at Heidelberg University is devoted to examining the material evidence of the ancient Greek and Roman culture and their predecessors and the influence they have left. The range of material remains consists of various objects used in everyday life to settlement structures, artefacts and paintings. The major-75% training runs over six semesters and conducted in German and English. Students acquire subject-specific methods and working techniques, theoretical basics of topography and settlement archaeology, cultural studies and image science and numerous more beneficial competencies. Graduates have a vast array of competencies to effectively and critically research, compile, and evaluate various types of sources on selected topics.
