The consecutive master program “Master of Arts in Comparative German Studies” at Heidelberg University is four semesters long. The course focuses have a specific emphasis on psycholinguistic, comparative language, and intercultural aspects. The program offers two specializations, Linguistics and Literature, from which students to choose and develop. Students gain in-depth an understanding of the concepts and methods of the selected specialization literature or linguistics. The admission requirements are that applicants have a university degree with above-average grades in German Studies or a related program and a good knowledge of English.
