Description
The “Bachelor of Arts in Computational Linguistics” program at Heidelberg University studies how human language can be processed and interpreted automatically. The course aims to teach students to solve an extensive software-technical task to a linguistic problem independently or in teamwork, implement the software-technical task, document and present it. The training with a weighting of 50% runs over six semesters and is in German and English. Students acquire techniques and tools for distributed programming, test procedures and quality control, documentation, planning skills and more beneficial qualities. Graduates have acquired the fundamentals of the core subject, including working methods and materials and can develop practical applications.
